Archaeology and Anthropology

ORIS is working with multiple archaeology projects to capture the intellectual context of their research.  A summary of two of the projects and their corresponding exhibitions are highlighted below:

Richard Cooke – STRI Archaeology

ORIS and the SIdora team worked with Richard and his team to capture the intellectual context around 40 years of excavations in Panama and includes information about images, artifacts, site descriptions and tabular data from 19 sites in Panama investigated by Richard and several close colleagues between 1969 - 2010.  An Exhibition of this work is at the following link:  Archaeological Investigations in Panama

Harriet F. "Rae" Beaubien - MCI Archaeological Conservator

ORIS and the SIdora team worked with Rae to capture and manage an array of data related to the technical analysis of museum objects excavated in Panama.  An Exhibition of this work is at the following link:  Goldworking in Precolumbian Panama.
